It is not a Pajero
Despite the name, the Pajero Sport has nothing to do with the Pajero. It's built on the Triton of its era — QE from 2015, QF from the 2020 update — while the Pajero was its own monocoque design that finished in 2021.
Searching "Pajero" and buying what comes up is the single most common mistake on this vehicle, and the parts are not interchangeable in either direction.
The Triton relationship helps at the front only
Because it shares Triton underpinnings, front bars, bash plates and some suspension components cross over from the Triton of the same era. Everything behind the front doors is wagon-specific — rear bars, roof racks, storage, tow bars and rear suspension.
The Pajero Sport also uses coil rear suspension where the Triton is leaf-sprung, so rear load-carrying products do not transfer even though the front of the vehicle does.
QE to QF changed the front
The 2020 QF update revised the front bumper and lights. Front-end protection is usually specified for one or the other.
What to give the retailer
QE or QF and the build date — and say "Pajero Sport" in full every time. Abbreviating it to "Pajero" in an email is how the wrong part gets picked and posted.
