Not a bigger Cannon — a different vehicle
The Cannon Alpha is a separate model from the GWM Cannon, not a trim of it. It's longer, wider and heavier, with different mounting points front and rear.
Nothing dimensioned to the body crosses between them: bars, flares, sliders, canopies, trays and racks are all Alpha-specific. Listings frequently shorten both to "Cannon", which is how the wrong part gets ordered.
New enough that fitment is still being published
The Alpha is recent, and the Australian aftermarket is early in covering it. On this site that shows up as fewer listings and more products where the retailer has not stated series-level fitment — which the index reports honestly rather than filling in.
Practical consequences:
- Ask before ordering, more than you would on an established ute. A retailer who has actually fitted one to an Alpha will say so.
